What is CrossFit?
The fitness industry is rife with gimmicks for the next best tool or pill ‘guaranteed’ to make you look like a fitness model. Sorting through the vast amounts of information to find the program that works for you can be a daunting task. Finding the right fitness program starts with asking yourself what you’re trying to achieve. Are you trying to a) lose weight, b) increase strength, c) improve overall health, d) perform better in a given sport or e) all of the above? In CrossFit, we like to say that we are ‘training for life,’ meaning we select e) all of the above.
CrossFit is a proven strength and conditioning program that appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. CrossFit takes an old-school approach by emphasizing functional movements through the combination of bodyweight exercises, weightlifting, and a variety of high-intensity cardio and strength drills. Variety truly is the ‘spice of life’ and to keep you engaged in your daily fitness pursuits, we will challenge your mind and body by constantly varying the workouts.
